Josselyn Maya, MSW <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Josselyn is a dedicated and compassionate social worker with a deep passion for supporting the mental health and well-being of children, adolescents, and families. With extensive experience in school social work settings, she has had the privilege of working with students across a wide range of developmental stages, from preschool-aged children as young as three years old through high school students. These experiences have strengthened her commitment to helping young people navigate challenges, build resilience, and reach their full potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She earned her Master of Social Work degree from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois Chicago, where she developed a strong foundation in clinical practice, advocacy, and family-centered care. Throughout her career, Josselyn has worked collaboratively with children, parents, educators, and community partners to create supportive environments that foster emotional growth and positive mental health outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to her professional experience, Josselyn is a parent of two young children. Her busy family loves to be outside, cherish the small moments, and take life one day at a time. Motherhood has provided her with valuable insight into the joys, challenges, and complexities of parenting. She brings both professional expertise and a parent\u2019s perspective to her work, allowing her to connect authentically with families and deeply understand their unique needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally born in Ecuador, Josselyn migrated to the United States with her parents when she was three years old. As a bilingual professional fluent in both English and Spanish, she is fully comfortable providing services in either language and is deeply committed to ensuring that individuals and families can access support in the language that feels most comfortable to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Josselyn is passionate about empowering children, supporting parents, and strengthening family relationships. She is eager and excited to partner with families on their mental wellness journey, helping them build the skills, confidence, and support systems needed to thrive.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Kristy Scholtes, MSW LCSW (Owner\/Clinician)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Kristy brings over 20 years of experience working with children ages two through young adulthood. She has worked in a variety of school settings \u2014 including early childhood, elementary, and high school \u2014 as well as in private practice serving clients across the lifespan. She specializes in supporting children, teens, and families navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral concerns, developmental delays, and family transitions. Kristy also has extensive knowledge of the IEP process and enjoys partnering with families to help them better understand and navigate school supports and services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Believing that play and creativity are essential to building strong therapeutic relationships, Kristy creates a warm, engaging environment where children feel safe to explore emotions, build skills, and grow confidence. She utilizes a skill-based, solution-focused therapeutic approach tailored to each child\u2019s unique strengths and needs. Kristy values collaboration with parents and caregivers, providing guidance and practical strategies that empower families and strengthen connection throughout the therapeutic process.<\/p>\n<\/div>
